The man at the bottom is Joachim, husband of Ann
plant with a crown, candles

Meaning:   The presentation of Christ in the Temple is shown. The dagger which pierces the heart of Mary suggests the prophecy of Simeon. At the bottom, Joachim is introduced as patron of Men's sodality. Candles and lights suggest the Temple. Every Jewish Temple has a seven stick candle holder.
