Baker Photography
Hamilton, OH

This is the sixth window on your left as you come in the back of church.

Where to find this picture.

What to look for:
Left side of window: bird, twelve circles of fire forming a cross with an "M" in the center, baptismal shell with water pouring out, grapes, at the foot of the cross is I H S and HOLY MASS in large circle above a chalice, 2 very large keys, acorn and oak leaves, a vessel of OIL of the sick.
Right side of window: Pelican piercing her breast to feed her young, fish and a basket of bread, the four evangelists represented by the head of a young man, an eagle, lion, ox, sheep, P X, caterpillar, butterfly, star, moon, grapes, crown, chalice with a host above it.
.
Meaning:  Left Side:  The twelve apostles with the Blessed Virgin Mary received the Holy Spirit. Mass is a perpetuation of the Sacrifice of the Cross/ The Baptismal shell signifies that through Baptism we partake of the benefits of the Mass and Communion. The keys represent Christ's power over heaven and earth. The artist again has a hand holding 2 rings. This time he may wish to show that the Church is the Bride of Christ. Palm leaves signify victory, and the stole represents priesthood.
Meaning:  Right Side:  As a pelican feeds her young with her flesh and blood, Christ feeds us. Christ multiplied the bread and fish, a miracle. as is also His power to give himself under the forms of bread and wine. Grapes represent the wine. The caterpillar and butterfly are symbolic of Death and Resurrection.
